Welcome to Developer EQ (developereq.com), operated by Kyle Shelton. By accessing or using this platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you don't agree with these terms, please don't use the service.
By creating an account or using any part of Developer EQ — including the ebook, AI coach, exercises, or any other features — you confirm that you've read, understood, and agree to these terms. If you're using Developer EQ on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
You'll need to create an account to access most features. You sign in via a magic link sent to your email address. You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that occurs under it. If you suspect unauthorized access, let us know immediately at kyle@developereq.com.
You must provide accurate information when creating your account. One account per person — don't share your access with others.
Developer EQ offers a free tier and paid subscription plans (Producer, Pro, and Enterprise). Paid plans are billed monthly through Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
The AI Coach ("The Producer") is powered by Anthropic's Claude and is designed to help you develop interpersonal and communication skills in a developer context. It is not a substitute for professional therapy, counseling, or mental health treatment.
The AI Coach provides general guidance and exercises based on the Developer EQ framework. Responses are generated by AI and may not always be perfectly accurate or applicable to your specific situation. Use your own judgment when applying any advice.

All content on Developer EQ — including the ebook chapters, UI design, branding, illustrations, and the AI Coach's system prompts — is owned by Kyle Shelton and protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without written permission.
Your exercise responses, notes, and conversation history with the AI Coach belong to you. By using the platform, you grant us a limited license to store and process that content to provide the service.

Developer EQ is provided "as is" and "as available." We do our best to keep things running smoothly, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kyle Shelton and Developer EQ shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
You can delete your account at any time. We may also suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in behavior that harms the platform or other users. If we terminate your account, we'll make a reasonable effort to notify you and explain why.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we'll notify you via email or a notice on the platform. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
